Good wishes to all our users for the New Year.

Fresh Ideas for Outdoor Education

The project is called Fresh Ideas for Outdoor Education and aims to help teachers who want to improve the use of outdoor education to support the curriculum at their school. This will offer one half-day session at a considerably reduced price to around 20 schools or voluntary organisations.

As you know, Wildside is a canal side oasis, providing wide ranging activities for young people of all ages and abilities, helping them to explore the outdoors and reconnect with nature. Well qualified, inspirational staff make learning relevant in an environment that excites the senses and encourages creativity. Examples of the activities we offer are on our website at

All our staff are very experienced. We have a good range of habitats on site. Risk assessments can be supplied. We are willing to discuss exactly what you would like to do and your curriculum needs.

In addition there are two training days for teachers and TAs on 27th April and 19th September, at a cost of £20 per head per day including lunch.

If a school wishes to improve its grounds or outdoor facilities for outdoor education, we could also offer advice and our Conservation Volunteers might undertake some of the work at an economical price.

We are looking for schools that would like to be positively involved in this project. We would be very pleased to provide further information and discuss your needs. If you would like to call us on 01902 572240 or email, we can take it further with you.
