Summer Holiday Programme

The Summer Holiday Programme is on our website. Boat trips are all full now and we have reserve lists. There will be boat trips at October half-term and some special ones in the Autumn and at Christmas – so watch the website for news. There are still spaces on most of the other activities especially towards the end of the holidays. Give us a ring to book.

New Canoeing Opportunity.

We are running a one day course to Paddlepower qualification (or 1 star for adults). Open to adults and children over 10. Saturday 7th October, 10am to 4pm. Cost £30 per person. Places limited. Ring us to book.

Cycling opportunities

The next open family bike ride is on Monday 14 August from 10.30am to 12.30pm as part of the Holiday Programme.Free cycle check before you start. Bikes and helmets are available for loan: please ask when booking.

We can also offer bikes rides for groups with a fully qualified instructor at minimal cost as we have raised some funding to support cycling. Contact us if you are interested.

Green Woodworking course

On Saturday 16th September from 10am to 1pm, we are offering a Green Woodworking course. Cost £10. Some spaces still available.

Little Explorers

This group is for pre-school children to explore the natural world and get more confident in outdoor play. The leader is fully trained in the Forest School approach. Children love it and it is so successful that from September we shall be offering a Monday afternoon session as well as Monday mornings. These sessions will start from 11th September, 9.30 to 11am and 1-2.30pm. Cost £3 per session per child. Please ring us if you would like to bring your child.

The Watch Group

This Group is for children age 5-11 who are interested in wildlife. The group breaks over the summer holidays. It normally meets in term time on the second Sunday of the month from 10am to 12 noon.The first meeting of the new term is 10th September. Please ring to tell us if a new child wants to join.

Our local allotment project

If you would like to have the chance to grow and harvest things in good company, you can come along to help at our allotment in Crowther Road. All Thursdays in August from 1-3pm, except the 31st. Please contact Steve Downs on 01902 572240 if you fancy coming.
