Summer Holiday Programme

The Summer Holiday Programme is up on our website. More activities than ever and lots of new ones. We have also put in extra boat trips in response to demand, so we hope nobody will be disappointed. We have a new scheme of concessions for families with a low income for holiday activities.

Building work at Wildside

The building and decorating work to improve the office and meeting room is in its final stages. We do not have the office functioning quite as normal yet. While this will be a real enhancement to the building, we would ask you to bear with us if you find our response to your queries a little slower than normal.

Cycling opportunities

The next open family bike ride is on Monday 14 August from 10.30am to 12.30pm as part of the Holiday Programme. Bikes and helmets are available for loan: please ask when booking.

We can also offer bikes rides for groups with a fully qualified instructor at minimal cost as we have raised some funding to support cycling. Contact us if you are interested.

The Watch Group

This Group for children age 5-11 who are interested in wildlife meets next on Sunday 9th July, 10am – 12noon. Please ring to tell us if a new child wants to join.

New arts project

Creative Black Country has funded us for an arts project called Seeing Small- microscopes and art.

The session on Sunday July 16th is now fully booked but you can tell us if you want to be on the reserve list. We are using microscopes to look at the images of pollen from native wildflowers and draw and paint the beautiful patterns we see

With artist Sue Brisco, we are creating an amazing collective art work for exhibition. It will be displayed at the Bessant Gallery at the Wolverhampton School of Art from 25th July to 4th August between 12noon and 3pm each day. Entry will be free. Further details shortly.
